Only One Free Gift Shop

(Old-time rock ’n’ roll — tight and driving)
Walked past the churches with their price tags high
“Pay your dues, keep the rules, then maybe you’ll get by”
But a neon sign on Grace Avenue said the deal is true
Come on down to God’s Free Gift Shop
No money down, no works to drop
Justification’s free, paid in full by the blood
Faith alone opens the flood
Walk right in, walk right out — saved by grace, no doubt!
Romans says the wages of sin is death
But the free gift of God is life — not of works, no boast
Christ did it all from the manger to the post
Come on down to God’s Free Gift Shop
No money down, no works to drop
Justification’s free, paid in full by the blood
Faith alone opens the flood
Walk right in, walk right out — saved by grace, no doubt!
Try religion, try the law, sweat till your knuckles are raw
The shop stays open — just believe the record God has given
[Final Chorus]
Come on down to God’s Free Gift Shop
No money down, no works to drop
Justification’s free, paid in full by the blood
Faith alone opens the flood
Walk right in, walk right out — saved by grace, no doubt!
God’s Free Gift Shop… Hallelujah, walk right out!
